Added: January 23, 2008 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive modification with Verizon Federal, Inc. that changes the telecom service from analog to digital and provides monthly services. The NRC currently has a contract with Verizon Federal to supply telecommunication service to a NRC regional site located in King of Prussia. The NRC is in a position that no longer requires analog services and requires a digital feed that provides telecommunication to the regional site. The digital telecommunication service shall include: 2 ? T1/PRI circuits; Framing/encoding: ESF/B8Zs; D-Channel Protocol: NID (Dedicated D-Channel for each T1/PRI); 46 B-Channels shall be on one trunk group; 2-way DID service and DID Digits Length = 4.

The ordering period for this contract commences on October 1, 2004 and expires on September 30, 2009.



The Government intends to negotiate solely with Verizon Federal Inc. 1320 N. Courthouse Rd. Arlington VA, 22201 for the services rendered above.



This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offerors. Interested respondents must submit written capability statement including technical information sufficient to demonstrate a bona fide written capability to meet this requirement to the address shown above no later than 10 calendar days from the date this announcement appears in the Federal Business Opportunities. Telephonic responses and responses providing insufficient information for evaluation will not be considered.
