The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Technical Communities, Inc. The requisition of three Hamilton Robotic 96 Channel Upgrade Kits (1000uL) is needed as replacement of the existing 96 channels for our Hamilton Starlet automated robotic pipetting systems. The purchase of these products is necessary for daily sample preparation need, as these heads are being used in our Hamilton automated pipetting system to add solvents and execute sample extractions procedures. The purchase of these 96 heads will allow continuation of ongoing biomonitoring studies within the Clinical Chemistry Branch.As part of the standard operation procedures for the biomonitoring methods, the 96 channel Multi-Probe Head of the Hamilton Starlet automated pipetting system to is used to precisely transfer solvents and extract serum samples into 96 well plates for analyzing steroid hormones concentration and other environmental chemical exposure in the US population. In order to be compliant to the CLIA requirements and to continue biomonitoring activities in measuring the levels of steroid hormones and other environmental chemicals, it is essential to upgrade the old 96 channel Multi-Probe Heads to the latest models and to ensure the maintenance of the channels are fully supported. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at hsz5@cdc.gov by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, 21 Aug 2018.
