THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract, to AMEE BAY Justification and Approval has been prepared. The period of performance is estimated to be June 2022 through– June 2022. PSNS & IMF intends to repair and refurbish NO.1 and NO.2 500k kW SSMG onboard submarine. AMEE BAY is the only NAVSEA approved contractor authorized to perform rotor cleaning and repairs of SSMG rotors. Refer to Department of Navy letter 4710, Ser 04x/099 of 7 June 2007 Life Cycle Engineering was authorized for utilization of contracted services by LCE in support of 688/726/21 Class Submarine Ships Service Motor Generators (SSMG), Ships Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) and Emergency Propulsion Motors (EPM) in-place. Navy letter 9610, Ser 07T222/521 of 26 October 2006 authorized the extension of NAVSEA Motor Generator Process Certification from Life Cycle Engineering to Amee Bay LLC.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities, in a quote. To do so, respond to this requirement no later than April 11, 2022 10:00 AM, PST.
A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR N4523A22R0813 NO.1 and NO.2 SSMG in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Chris Davidson, Contract Specialist, by email at Christopher.t.davids@navy.mil. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
