About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation has issued a solicitation for hydraulic motors under procurement number SPRTA1-26-Q-00035. This procurement falls under the NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 1650 for Aircraft Hydraulic, Vacuum, And De-Icing System Components, indicating the motors are intended for aircraft hydraulic systems. The solicitation was posted on October 7, 2025, with responses due by November 6, 2025. The government has taken exception to standard synopsis requirements under FAR 5.202(a)(13) because the acquisition value is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The complete solicitation package is available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) and offerors are permitted to respond electronically via email.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified contractors. The solicitation notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award values, though it confirms the expected contract value will remain below the simplified acquisition threshold. No specific quantities of hydraulic motors or delivery timelines are mentioned in the available documentation. The place of performance and other detailed requirements are not specified in the summary information provided. The primary government file attached appears to be an Adobe PDF portfolio landing page rather than substantive procurement documentation, suggesting the full technical specifications and requirements are contained within the complete solicitation package available through the GPE.
Notice text
Exception is taken to this requirement solicitation SPRTA1-26-Q-00035 for PR 25-02287 of the synopsis publicizing IAW with FAR 5.202(a)(13), exception:
- Is for an amount not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold.
- Will be made through a means that provides access to the notice of proposed contract action through the GPE.
- Permits the public to respond to the solicitation electronically.
Electronic commerce is defined at 41 USC sec. 426 as electronic techniques for accomplishing business transactions, including electronic mail. Thus, provided the complete solicitation package is available through the GPE and offerors are permitted to respond electronically (i.e., email in this case), the proposed contract action would not need to be synopsized.
Therefore, synopsis is hereby waived as this acquisition is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, request for proposal will be made through Contract Opportunities and the offerors will be able to respond electronically.
