About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division located in China Lake, California is seeking to procure MNX-353 (Quantity: 1 Lot) through a non-competitive procurement process. The acquisition will be conducted on an other than full and open competitive basis, specifically sole sourced to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. Interested firms believing they can fulfill the requirement are invited to submit a written response to yvonne.c.stockwell.civ@us.navy.mil within 5 days of the publication date. The response must reference solicitation number N6893625Q5046 and include a comprehensive capability statement demonstrating the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the work without compromising quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. All responding firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and maintain an active status.
The procurement is not designated for any specific set-aside category, and Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is identified as the sole developer and distributor of the material. While specific award value details are not provided, the notice indicates this is a targeted procurement for specialized equipment in the Explosives Manufacturing (NAICS 325920) and Laboratory Equipment category. All potential contractors must complete SAM registration, which now requires a notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator within 30 days of registration. The government emphasizes the importance of maintaining an active SAM registration, as awards cannot be made to entities with inactive status. The current pre-solicitation was posted on April 9, 2025, with a response deadline of April 15, 2025, signaling a relatively compressed timeline for potential respondents.
