About this opportunity
The Air Force awarded EaglePicher Technologies, LLC an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract valued at up to $30 million to procure 396 Mk12A Arming and Fuzing Assembly Silver Zinc batteries. The contract includes 96 qualification units under a cost plus fixed fee arrangement from August 2022 through August 2028, and 300 production units under a firm fixed price arrangement to support the Minuteman III missile program. EaglePicher is the sole domestic manufacturer experienced in producing squib-activated silver zinc batteries for nuclear weapons, and using an alternative source would duplicate costs and cause unacceptable delays for the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center.
