Supply: The Air Force intends to issue a sole source award to CARPENTER POWDER PRODUCTS, INC. for the purchase of 600 lbs. of Micro-melt G190 (T-800) Powder which meets GE Specification B50TF190 Class A Powder. This powder meets the Tech Order requirements of 2J-F101-3-6 SWP 52-04 for the HP Turbine Seal Supprt. The estimated award date is 30 MAR 2009. The NAICS code for this requirement is 331111 with a size standard of no more than 100 employees. THIS IS SOLE SOURCED TO CARPENTER POWDER PRODUCTS, INC. DUE TO THEIR ABILITY TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OUTLINED IN THE TECHNICAL ORDERS FOR THE MISSION REQUIRING THIS PRODUCT.
Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at http://www.ccr.gov. ORCA registration is also required and contractors can register electronically at https://orca.bpn.gov.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals will be considered within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Authority is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1).
