The U.S. Geological Survey Woods Hole Coastal & Marine has a requirement for requires a field deployable analyzer capable of simultaneous analysis of methane concentrations, ethane concentrations, carbon dioxide concentrations, water vapor concentration and methane stable carbon isotope ratios (iCH4) within specific ranges. This equipment needs to interface with our existing USGS owned Discrete Sample Analysis Module (DSAM).
The analyzer meeting the required performance characteristics is a model G2210-i-AM1 cavity ring-down spectrometer (CRDS) manufactured by Picarro, Inc. in Santa Clara CA. The G2210-i-AM1 CRDS interfaces with our existing USGS owned Discrete Sample Analysis Module (DSAM).
The required gas analyzer must exhibit the salient characteristics on the attach document.
All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested equipment to the primary contact below. Firms responding should indicate whether their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether the forthcoming solicitation will be conducted using full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses or small business designation. This requirement is expected to result in the award of a firm-fixed price contract.
This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 334516. The size standard is 1,000 employees.

This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any government assessments.
