About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a special scale meter (NSN 7H-6625-017025035) under a non-competitive procurement authority per FAR 6.302-1. This electrical and electronic properties measuring and testing instrument will be evaluated based on the contractor's ability to meet government specifications and deliver the required quantity as specified. The government has determined that the data and rights necessary to purchase or contract repair of this part from additional sources are either unavailable or uneconomical to obtain, and reverse engineering is not economically feasible. Interested parties must obtain relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and other documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online database. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 13, 2025, with a deadline of November 30, 2025, for parties to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is being pursued as a single-source acquisition. The contract calls for a quantity of four units (4 EA) with delivery on a Free on Board (FOB) Origin basis. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the focused requirement and limited quantity suggest a relatively modest procurement. The government has explicitly stated that this is not a competitive solicitation, though all responsible sources are invited to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement. Parties requiring additional information or unable to access online resources should contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179 (DSN: 442-2667).
