About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is seeking to procure a specific exhaust manifold (NSN 2815 01-269-4304) manufactured by Fairbanks Morse Defense. The solicitation is for a single pipe streamline exhaust manifold with precise steel material and connection specifications, to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the USCG Logistics Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The government anticipates a non-competitive sole source purchase order and believes only Fairbanks Morse or their authorized distributors can provide this specific unit. Potential offerors must submit complete information demonstrating their capabilities within two calendar days of the notice posting, including a letter from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) verifying authorized distributor status. The contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures with a lowest price technically acceptable evaluation method, with quotes due by June 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
The solicitation has no specific set-aside designation and falls under NAICS code 33361 with a business size standard of 500 employees. Offerors must have valid DUNS numbers and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), and must provide their Tax Information Number with the offer. The procurement is for a quantity of one exhaust manifold, with the U.S. Coast Guard intending to award on an all-or-none basis to a responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract, and substitute parts are explicitly not acceptable. Offerors must comply with various Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, including provisions related to equal opportunity, protecting the government's interests, and reporting requirements. The total contract value is not explicitly stated, but the specificity of the procurement suggests a targeted, precise acquisition for a specific maritime equipment component.
