This is an 8(a) sole source set-aside for L3Harris/Brashear under NAICS code 334511 with a size standard of 1250 employees. Brashear custom manufactured the KTMs and holds the proprietary documentation and drawings, making it the only responsible source. The refurbishment will include delivery, installation and testing services along with required manuals and test data. NASA intends to acquire this as a commercial item under FAR Part 12 and estimates the value to be under $4 million.
