The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Replace Visitor/Restroom Roof project for the James A. Garfield National Historic Site Mentor, Ohio
Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to remove and replace the existing wood shingled roofs and all associated components. Installation of a new, wood shingled roofing systems (including associated components) as well as removing and reinstalling the lightning protection system. Additionally removing and reinstalling Visitor Center down spouts and gutters, removing and replacing Restroom Building downspouts and gutters. Additional work will include the removal and replacement of the Restroom building skylights, bead board under the overhang and removal and replacement of the exterior can lights with LED can lights.
SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6419R0040.
PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early August 2019 with performance to begin in August 2019. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Lake County, OH will apply.
EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238160, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses.
SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available July 2019 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov and FedConnect, website at https://www.fedconnect.net.
The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
