The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 (VISN 10) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract for preventative maintenance services on ophthalmic equipment. The contract will be awarded to Satisloh North America of Germantown, WI under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements).

The purpose of this Special Notice is to announce VISN 10's intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Satisloh North America to provide full preventive maintenance services, including regular inspections and replacement of worn parts, on ophthalmic equipment at the VISN 10 optical laboratory in Indianapolis, IN. The contract period is September 30, 2024 through September 29, 2025, with two one-year option periods. This is not a request for competitive proposals, and the government has sole discretion in determining whether to allow competition. Any responses must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. Responses are due by 8:00 am on September 17, 2024 and must be emailed to the Contracting Specialist.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Satisloh North America of Germantown, WI for Preventative Maintenance for ophthalmic equipment. NAICS 811210 applies, the small business size standard is $34 Million. The Contractor shall provide a full preventive maintenance which includes regular and systematic inspections for ophthalmic equipment and shall include normally replaced parts at contractor s expense as detailed in the Performance Work Statement to the Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 (VISN 10) optical laboratory located at 5610 Dividend Road in Indianapolis, IN 46241 for the period of September 30, 2024 through September 29, 2025 with two (2) one (1) year options, in strict accordance with all schedules, specifications, terms, conditions and provisions of this contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 8:00 am on September 17, 2024.
