The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 12 (VISN 12) has issued a Special Notice regarding maintenance support services for Pyxis ES Medstation units and products. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Carefusion Solutions, LLC, the only vendor authorized to provide maintenance on these products.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide notice of the VA's intent to award a sole source contract to Carefusion Solutions, LLC under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contract will be a one-year base with two one-year option periods, and the NAICS code is 811210 with a $34M size standard. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer, Robert Ruska, by 10:00 AM CT on June 12, 2024, along with supporting evidence of their ability to comply, including a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating the firm is an authorized distributor.

Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 the Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Carefusion Solutions, LLC for maintenance support services of Pyxis ES Medstation units and products. Carefusion Solutions, LLC is the only vendor authorized to complete the maintenance on these machines. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Maintenance support services are already in use. This request is for sustainment of an existing service. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a one-year base plus two (2) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811210 with a business size standard of $34M.

No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM Local Time (Central) June 12, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Robert Ruska, Robert.Ruska@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
