The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center intends to award a purchase order, Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract for Philips Epiq Acquisition Module.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK STATEMENT
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Emergency request to repair the Acquisition Module of the Philips ultrasound system. It has been deemed necessary that the acquisition module will need to be repaired as part of this service. This service represents Clinical Engineering s effort to maintain state of the art technology in rotation to provide care to our Veterans.
2.BACKGROUND: Philips Epiq 7C Ultrasound System
The Epic 7C Ultrasound System is a state-of-the-art radiological device that aides skilled personnel in its use to obtain exceptional image quality through automated views and quantification. This device also offers ease of use due to its portability minimizing the need to transport ill patients repeatedly as it can be brought to the patient s bedside.

The Radiology Department at Central Western Massachusetts VA Medical Center Leeds Campus.
requires the emergency repair of the Philips Epiq 7C ultrasound to be utilized in the care of the patients at VACT, by repairing the acquisition module used to attach the transducers. The ultrasound is not usable until the module can be repaired. Included in the quote is a warranty on parts and labor.
