The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, specifically the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for elevator preventative maintenance, inspection, and emergency callback services. The solicitation covers 26 elevators of various types and manufacturers located across multiple facility buildings, with maintenance requirements strictly adhering to ASME A17.1 Safety Codes, ASME A17.2 Inspector's Manual, and ANSI/NFPA 70 National Electrical Code standards. Interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a detailed capability statement demonstrating technical expertise in elevator maintenance. Responses must include specific documentation such as Unique Entity ID, CAGE Code, Tax ID Number, and business type classification. The procurement is initially designated as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside under NAICS code 238290, with a $22 million size standard. If insufficient SDVOSB responses are received, the VA may convert to an alternate set-aside or full and open competition. No subcontracting opportunities are anticipated, and all Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses must be VetCert certified by the Small Business Administration. The solicitation covers maintenance for elevators from manufacturers including Montgomery, MCE, Otis, Dover, Thyssenkrupp, and others, spanning multiple building locations within the healthcare system. While this is currently a sources sought announcement and not a formal solicitation, it represents a significant procurement opportunity for qualified elevator maintenance contractors with specialized expertise in healthcare facility equipment maintenance.
