About this opportunity
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking contractors to provide all labor, supervision, tools, and materials required to extend an existing water source and install a new flood irrigation system for a research field located at the USDA, ARS, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center in Parlier, California. The project involves extending a 10-inch flood PVC pipe 390 feet and building an irrigation system with 18 total 6-inch risers and 4-inch butterfly valves. Quotes are due by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on August 16, 2024, and the work must be completed within 30 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the Government.
This opportunity is not set aside for small businesses or any other designated groups. The estimated magnitude of the contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. A site visit is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on July 29, 2024. The place of performance is the USDA, ARS, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center in Parlier, California, 93648.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided for a research field requiring a new irrigation system. The field currently lacks a source connection to build a new flood irrigation system. A new connection is required to extend the water source to the new field, in addition to building and installing the new flood system to support irrigation to the research field plots. See attached Statement of Work (SOW). The project is located at USDA, ARS, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center, 9611 S Riverbend Ave Parlier, CA 93648.
SITE VISIT: 10:00a.m Pacific Time on Monday July 29, 2024. See Section L.4 for more information and RSVP instructions.
