Added: Nov 22, 2010 9:50 am Modified: Nov 24, 2010 3:31 pmTrack Changes This synopsis is notification of the Fort Carson Contracting Office intent to sole source a contract modification to the existing contractor, Resource Geoscience, Inc., to extend the period of performance for a contract which is a indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a 1 year base performance period, plus four one-year option periods. The contract is currently in a three month extension that runs from 1 September 2010 through 30 November 2010. The extension will be for an additional three months to the incumbent contractor Resource Geoscience, Inc., 3740 Wabash Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. The extension will provide uninterrupted services to the Fort Carson installation. The contract is a firm fixed price contract. This action is intended to be accomplished under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).The extension modification must be issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract, provided that all awardees were given a fair opportunity to be considered for the original order.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that an alternate approach would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written comments to this notice and detailed capabilities must be emailed to Crystal Price at crystal.l.price@us.army.mil by 22 November 2010 16:00/4:00pm Mountain time. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
