Intent to Sole Source - Ebsco Nursing Reference Center Plus database Access
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue sole-source firm-fixed priced base + 4 year option to renew contract to Ebsco industries, Inc., 10 Estes St. Ipswich, MA 01938-2106.
A sole source procurement will be issued to Ebsco Industries, Inc., because they are the only vendor capable of fully providing the Nursing Reference Center Plus database. Ebsco Industries, Inc. is the only source from which the Government can obtain usage of the Nursing Reference Center plus database. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 511120 and has a size standard of 500 Employees for this procurement.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Lexington Coopers Division VA Medical Center (VAMC) has a significant need for access to the Nursing Reference Center Plus database. The medical staff of the facility uses the database to get answers to questions quickly, access care plans, watch video demonstrations, strengthen nursing skills, and earn continuing education credits and much more.
Contractor shall provide access to the Nursing Reference Center Plus database.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 10am CST, January 26, 2016 to: kevin.cochran2@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
