About this opportunity
NASA/Glenn Research Center intends to award a sole-source contract to The RAND Corporation to conduct a study on national capabilities and needs for transonic dynamics tunnel testing over the next decade. The study will assess current wind tunnel facilities, generate a 10-year forecast of potential R&D activities requiring transonic testing, and identify associated needs. Interested parties may submit capabilities by May 19, 2023 to be considered for a potential competitive procurement.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The attached statement of work indicates the sole-source contract would be awarded to RAND Corporation to deliver a detailed implementation plan, mid-point review presentation, and final report/presentation within one year of the start date. No specific NAICS, PSC, budget range or quantity is provided, but the scope of work suggests the contract value would be commensurate with the professional services required to conduct the nationwide facilities assessment and 10-year forecasting study.
