About this opportunity

The Special Notice published by the Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service intends to award sole source contracts to Navajo Sanitation for solid waste collection, disposal, and recycling services for multiple facilities within the Chinle Service Unit in Arizona. Justifications have been provided to support awarding noncompetitive contracts to the incumbent provider for the Tsaile Health Center, Pinon Health Center, and Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.

The purpose of the Special Notice is to inform the public of the agency's intent to award sole source contracts to Navajo Sanitation, citing the contractor as the only responsible source able to provide the required services within 100 miles of the facilities. Interested parties have until October 12, 2020 to provide evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. Navajo Sanitation is currently the incumbent provider and deemed eligible based on geographical proximity and capabilities to continue performing solid waste services for the listed health centers without interruption.
