Notice text

Added: Apr 22, 2013 5:26 pm The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center intends to make a non-competitive award to the University of California (UCI) Keck-CCAMS Facility for radiocarbon analysis by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) of two sample types: 1) samples containing low-level tracer quantities of 14C; and 2) methane dissolved in pore fluids. The results of the analysis are to be delivered Woods Hole, Massachusetts by no later than September 1, 2014.

There are no option periods.

UCI is the only known source for this service because it is the only known facility willing to process samples incubated with low-level 14C tracers and also the only facility that extracts methane and CO2 from aqueous samples, separating and converting each to graphite for AMS analysis.

In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

Email responses to dgalvin@usgs.gov.

The anticipated NAICS code is 541380. The size standard is $14.0 million.

The anticipated award date of the contract is 05/01/2013. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be awarded the contract.
