About this opportunity
The National Park Service Northeast Region is seeking potential sources interested in rehabilitating the Benjamin Rush Garden located in Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The project includes installing the Queen's Bicentennial Bell on display in the garden, constructing the bell armature foundation and lighting, removing and replacing vegetation, repairing the garden fountain, rescaling planting beds with new soil and plants, repairing wrought iron fencing and gates, rebuilding accessible paths including an ADA ramp between levels, installing new benches and signage, and replacing the irrigation and drainage systems. Interested parties should submit capability statements by December 1, 2022 not exceeding 15 pages documenting experience with park restoration, landscape construction, and protecting natural and cultural features during work. Statements will be evaluated based on the described experience and qualifications.
There is no set-aside designation for this project. The estimated contract value is between $1 million to $5 million to be awarded as a firm fixed price contract. Coordination will also be required with the separate contractor fabricating the bell armature. The work must be completed while minimizing disruption to Independence National Historical Park operations.
