Notice text

Description:

Repair, maintenance, calibration, and repair parts for existing-owned In-Situ brand equipment that is used to measure water levels and water quality parameters at rivers, streams, dams, and other water bodies at USGS gaging stations located across the Country.

INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

The U.S. Geological Survey, Reston, VA, intends to make a non-competitive award to In-Situ, Inc for repair, maintenance, calibration, and repair parts for existing-owned In-Situ brand equipment to be delivered to USGS locations throughout the country by June 20, 2024. The period of performance is:

BASE PERIOD: 07/01/2024 thru 06/30/2027

In-Situ services are required in order to provide a continuity of equipment and standardization of repair parts and components to an existing infrastructure and inventory valued at approximately $5,000,000.00. In-Situ is the proprietary manufacturer of the equipment to be maintained. They possess the technical knowledge, drawings, and patents covering the design of the instruments and associated accessory items. They have the specialized tools, proprietary knowledge, and parts needed to correctly repair and calibrate the equipment. Use of other manufacturers who do not have access to the technical knowledge and patents would compromise equipment repair and calibration, and adversely affect the quality of the data collected with the equipment.

In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
