About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring hose assemblies (NSN 1H-4720-013035220-X3) under a total small business set-aside. This procurement requires that the supplier maintain engineering source approval from the design control activity to ensure quality and compliance with established specifications. The part requires unique design capability, specialized engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge that are held exclusively by qualified sources; alternate sources may qualify only through the design control activity's approved procedures and with cognizant Government engineering activity authorization. Award will be made only to offerors, products, or manufacturers that meet all qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The requirement calls for 74 units to be delivered to two Defense Logistics Agency distribution centers: one in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and one in Tracy, California. No incumbent contractor or award value information is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The product falls under PSC category 4720 (Hose and Flexible Tubing), and interested small business concerns should monitor for the formal solicitation release, which will include the specific set-aside designation and detailed proposal requirements.
