This is a solicitation notice for the following:
The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to maintain continuous and safe operations of hoists and cranes located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The scope of performance includes, but is not limited to: the preventative maintenance, inspection / testing, repair, load testing and certification of hoists and cranes listed on Appendix A in accordance with (IAW) all local, state, federal laws/regulations and applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers / American National Standards Institute (ASME / ANSI) codes and manufacturer's requirements in a manner that shall ensure continuous and safe operation. The contractor shall maintain records of any preventative maintenance, inspection / testing, repair, load testing, and certification conducted on hoists and cranes.
This is a commercial acquisition. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-aside under the Standard Industrial Classification code 7699; NAICS code 811310 and the related small business standard of 7 million dollars. The contract will be a fixed price and cost reimbursement line item contract. The proposed performance period is a base period from 1 October 2014 to 30 September 2015 and four (4) one year options. A site visit is scheduled for 15 April 2014. If you are planning to attend the site visit and in order to ensure access to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, prior coordination with the 87th Contracting Squadron is mandatory not later than 11 April 2014 by 10:00 AM EST. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in SAM may result in the delay of award of contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in SAM at the time of award. Solicitation will be issued on or about 31 March 2014. The Offer Due Date will be stated in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be made available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code).
