This pre-solicitation synopsis is notice regarding solicitation 140D7020R0002 for a Headgate Rock Dam Radial Gate Braided Wire Rope Replacement.

Please note, this is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forthcoming and will be posted on or around November 5, 2019, with all the necessary documents to include the Statement of Work. The closing/response date and time for this notice will be Tuesday, November 05, 2019 at 2 p.m. Mountain Time. The complete solicitation package and amendments, if any, which includes the SOW, will be made available through the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov/. It is the prospective offeror¿s responsibility to monitor the internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. Copies will not be issued by the contracting office. Potential offerors will be solely responsible for obtaining their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any, from this web site.

The contractor shall replace the braided wire ropes that lift the radial gates at Headgate Rock Dam. There are twenty-four lifting ropes that need replacement. Replacement shall include removal and disposal of existing braided wire ropes and installation of new braided wire ropes rated for use with the radial gates. The period of performance will be 550 days after award.

Work is to be performed at the Headgate Rock Dam, located on the lower Colorado River approximately 15 miles downstream of the Parker Dam near the town of Parker, Arizona.
