The U.S. Geological Survey, Volcano Science Center, located in Vancouver, WA has a requirement for one handheld thermal camera and software. The thermal camera will be use to collect thermal imagery over active volcanoes. An ideal system will allow stand-alone image capture at a rate of at least 1 image per second continuously with simultaneous high-resolution video. The included software to process these data must offer the ability to correct the data for emissivity and atmospheric conditions as well as the ability to control the camera for high frame rate acquisition (15-30Hz).
The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number G16PS00832, will be made available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.102(a)(1), on or about September 6, 2016. The Government anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. Please contact the Contracting Officer, in writing, by email at cciccarelli@usgs.gov, with any questions.
This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-89, effective 15 Aug 2016. This requirement is unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334513, Instrument and Related Products for Measuring, Displaying and Controlling Industrial Process Variables. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
