Update #2 ·
***This presolicitation was inadvertently posted under RFP # N6893615R0042 ***
The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition basis under the authority of FAR 6.302, software and software support for the H-1 Weapons System Support Activity (WSSA).
The Navy intends to enter into negotiations for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The contract period of performance is for one year.
This contract provides Real Time Operating System (RTOS) software for H-1 Mission Computer (MC) programming and the computer software configuration item (CSCI) component for the H-1 Integrated Avionics System (IAS). This contract will also provide software support.
The MC requires an RTOS that can support the Freescale P4080 multi-core processors. The H-1 Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) software are written in Ada and C/C++ languages and requires Ada and C/C++ compilers. The H-1 WSSA needs an RTOS and Ada and C/C++ compilers in order to create OFP build versions for the MC. The WSSA desires use of the same tool suite presently used by the contractor to support OFP builds. The Green Hills Integrity 178B tool suite will enable H-1 WSSA to make updates/changes to OFP software for current and future OFP software development and release builds. The total estimated contract value is $497,952.00.
Green Hills Software Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Integrity 178B tool suite currently in use by Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) in developing OFP software for current and future OFP software development and release builds. Only Green Hills provides the specific compatibility in RTOS for multi-core processors and compilers for both Ada and C/C++ languages currently in use by the contractor.
