Kremmling Field Office Fine-Scale Vegetation Mapping
Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, Colorado State Office, Lakewood, Colorado has a requirement for the Kremmling Field Office Fine-Scale Vegetation Mapping, located in Grand, Jackson, Summit and portions of Larimer and Eagle counties in Colorado.
The work consists of the following: Task 1 of this proposed project is to develop a fine-scale vegetation GIS spatial database within the Kremmling Field Office. The final product will be a spatial database of better than 10 meter accuracy identifying living versus dead timber. Priority mapping will be given to BLM surface ownership land within Grand County, followed by Jackson, Summit, Larimer, and Eagle Counties (in that order).
Task 2 (if funding allows) of this proposed project is to develop an Evaluation of Non-BLM values at risk and Wildfire Hazard Change detection.
The solicitation shall be set aside for 8 (a) company that has already been choosen.
The NAICS code is 541990 all other professional, scientific and technical services, $14 million. This is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of quotation or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information related to the potential availability of other sources that can fulfill this requirement must be received by the POC listed below no later than 2PM Mountain Time (Colorado) Wednesday, August 30, 2013, at fsalazar@blm.gov.
