The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Olympus Brand Scopes and Supporting Equipment for Asheville VAMC, Hampton VAMC and Salem VAMC with Alliant Enterprises, LLC. in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)(B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source IAW 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5) FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or Required by Statute VAAR 819.7007 Sole Source Awards to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Concerns.
This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 4 Aug 2017 to Alliant Enterprises, LLC, 333 Bridge Street NW, Suite 1125, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504-5367; Cage Code 3Y2R6.
This acquisition is for Olympus Brand GI Endoscopes, Urology Scopes, Sinus Scopes supporting hardware and accessories for the Asheville VAMC, Hampton VAMC and Salem VAMC which will be added to the existing inventory of Olympus Brand Scopes and seamlessly integrate into the existing and future infrastructure of the OR and clinics at the medical facilities. This Medical Centers are in need of this additional equipment to replace unserviceable inventory and provide additional back up equipment when equipment in inventory becomes unserviceable or is sent offsite for repair. Additionally, the equipment for the OR s must be identical to the inventory within the clinics of the Richmond VAMC Campus.
This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days of this publication by contacting Keith Hunter via e-mail at Keith.hunter@va.gov. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
