About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is seeking to procure an alternating generator through solicitation SPRTA1-25-Q-0090 under the NAICS category for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. The procurement falls under Product Service Code 6115 for Generators and Generator Sets, Electrical. This solicitation has been issued with a synopsis waiver under FAR 5.202(a)(13), which applies because the total contract value is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The complete solicitation package will be available through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) system, with vendors permitted to respond electronically via email. Potential offerors should note the critical dates, with the solicitation posted on January 17, 2025, and responses due by February 18, 2025.
The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation, indicating it is open to all qualified vendors. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the procurement is structured to remain below the simplified acquisition threshold. The place of performance is not directly specified in the available documentation, but given the involvement of DLA Aviation, it is likely associated with a military aviation logistics facility. The procurement appears focused on obtaining a specific generator or generator set, presumably for use in aircraft maintenance or support operations. Interested vendors should carefully review the full solicitation package to understand the precise technical specifications, submission requirements, and evaluation criteria for this generator procurement opportunity.

Synopsis Waiver
Exception is taken to this requirement solicitation SPRTA1-25-Q-0090 for PR 24-02323 of the synopsis publicizing IAW with FAR 5.202(a)(13), exception:
- Is for an amount not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold.
- Will be made through a means that provides access to the notice of proposed contract action through the GPE.
- Permits the public to respond to the solicitation electronically.
Electronic commerce is defined at 41 USC sec. 426 as electronic techniques for accomplishing business transactions, including electronic mail. Thus, provided the complete solicitation package is available through the GPE and offerors are permitted to respond electronically (i.e., email in this case), the proposed contract action would not need to be synopsized.
Therefore, synopsis is hereby waived as this acquisition is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, request for proposal will be made through Contract Opportunities and the offerors will be able to respond electronically.
