About this opportunity

The Special Notice published by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces intends to award a sole source contract to provide preventative maintenance and minor repair services for live fire trainers located across the Pacific Command area. The 766th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract directly to a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.

The objective is to provide qualified personnel to inspect, test, maintain, and repair live fire and non-fire trainers to ensure serviceability and prevent deterioration at multiple locations, including bases in Alaska, Guam, South Korea, Japan and Hawaii. Interested service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses have until July 29th, 2022 to review the forthcoming solicitation. The anticipated contract type is firm-fixed price for one base year and one option year, with an optional six-month extension, requiring support at bases such as Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Eielson AFB, Joint Region Marianas, Osan Air Base, Kunsan Air Base, Misawa Air Base, Kadena Air Base, and Yokota Air Base.

Purpose / Requirement Description

This is a Synopsis of a Proposed Contract Action prepared in accordance with (IAW) FAR

5.207. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP). The Contracting

team will review and consider all responses and/or questions received; however, the Contracting

team is not required to implement any of the feedback and/or suggestions received.

The 766th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

(JBPH-H), Hawaii, intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract action directly to a

Service Disable Veteran Owned Small business concern for preventative maintenance and minor

repair services of Live Fire Trainers located throughout the Pacific Command. Specifically, the

intent of this contract action is to provide qualified personnel to inspect, test, maintain, and repair

live fire/non-fire trainers to ensure serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational

effectiveness.

The aforementioned service will provide support to multiple locations across the Pacific to

include the following: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska; Eielson AFB, Alaska;

Joint Region Marianas, Guam; Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea; Kunsan Air Base, Republic of

Korea; Misawa Air Base, Japan; Kadena Air Base, Japan; and Yokota Air Base, Japan.
