The work in this contract includes various repairs to the fueling facilities at Ft Pickett, Virginia. Repairs will include maintenance and repair (MR) and minor construction (MC) spread across three fuel stations, as described. Station 1 maintenance and repair efforts consist of; repairing issue piping from eight underground storage tanks (USTs) to either dispensing islands or bulk fill stands, replacing swivel joints to five fill stands, repairing one pump starter, repairing concrete pavement, repairing eyewash/shower, and installing grounding. Minor construction includes; adding ground verification/EFSOs and replacing containment curbs/paving at five fill stands and truck offload, installing new containment curbs, installing a bulk air eliminator, installing lightning protection and installing a back-up power system. Station 2 maintenance and repair efforts consist of; replacing a swivel joint, replacing a pump stop/start, and repairing shower/eyewash. Minor construction includes; adding ground verification/EFSOs and replacing containment curbs/paving at the fill stand at truck offload area, installing new containment curbs, installing lightning protection at three different facilities, adding ground reels, and installing a back-up power system, constructing remote containment basin, installing diesel dispenser EFSO, replacing operations building overhead electrical service and paving. Station 3 has no maintenance and repair items, with minor construction consisting of; adding EFSO, replacing pavement, adding spill containment, removing a speed bump, adding a ground reel, adding lightning protection, and installing a back-up power system. The contractor is required to comply with all current requirements and federal, state and local permitting requirements.
