Site Visit Offeror Questions and DoDEA responses:

1. Due to the variations of hours for the children coming, leaving and playground activities, if needed can the contractor perform some of the grass maintenance on weekends?


Answer: Yes the contractor may work on the weekend.


2. Will the contractor be allowed to set the work schedule or will the government set the schedule?


Answer: It will be up to the contractor to set the work schedule.


3. Will a lay down site be provided for the contractor to stage equipment at the end of each work day or will the contractor be required to mobilize equipment on and off site each time services are provided?


Answer: No. The contractor will be required to leave with their equipment after each service provided.


4. How many times a year will we perform our duties? Will it be 26 times a year? As needed? Or every three weeks? What is the duration of each interval before cutting?


Answer: The contract is performance based and will be up to the contractor to determine the frequency


5. Likewise for invoicing, will it be monthly? What is the Invoice cycle?


Answer: Invoicing is done monthly.


6. Is this a fixed price? Is this a price for each job performance? Or is this one price divided by monthly cycle for a monthly price?


Answer: Fixed Price Contract


7. How long after invoicing is payment normally.


Answer: We cannot definitively answer that question as it depends upon a variety of factors.


8. Is price based on a per cut basis? Per mulch basis?


Answer: No it's a fixed price.

Amended and effective Tuesday, March 5th, 2019:


Offerors who wish to visit the specific site on Fort Jackson where the services will be provided, an opportunity will be provided on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 09:00 AM EST. Please forward your request to participate to Contract Specialist Dora Johnson by email at Dora.Johnson@hq.dodea.edu by 12:00 PM EST on Friday, March 8, 2019 and your reservation will be confirmed by a return email. Offerors participating in the site vist will be escorted by DoDEA staff at all times after being met at the Pass and ID Office on base.


In addition, potential offerors have submitted questions regarding the solicitation, and both submitted questions and respective answers follow:


1. Is there a frequency requirement of services or is the contract performance based?

2. The areas that require mulch and undying fabric, are these area presently with fabric or does fabric have to be added?
NO


3. Are there requirements for fertilization of the property?

4. Is there a requirement for thatching and aeration?
