About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research for a potential procurement of Filter Element, Fluid with National Stock Number 1650-01-399-6272, currently manufactured by Pall Aeropower Corp. The government is seeking qualified vendors capable of manufacturing the filter element, which involves comprehensive production responsibilities including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, and shipping. Potential sources must demonstrate the ability to manage supply chain logistics, forecast production requirements, address diminishing manufacturing sources, and manage material shortages. The government will evaluate market responses based on four key criteria: service scope and capacity, corporate resource capability, project management effectiveness, and potential performance under a performance-based service acquisition contract. Interested parties must submit their capability information by January 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time via email to Renee Griffin.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, and the estimated annual quantity is 312 filter elements. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with the Primary Service Category being aircraft hydraulic, vacuum, and de-icing system components. This sources sought notice is explicitly not for the current procurement cycle, but instead aims to identify and qualify vendors for future competitive opportunities. The government emphasizes that submission of information is voluntary and that they will not assume financial responsibility for any costs incurred during the response process. While no specific budget range is provided, the detailed requirements suggest a complex manufacturing and logistics engagement focused on critical aerospace component production.
