About this opportunity
This Special Notice was published by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences to provide notice of its intent to award a sole-source contract to Ex Libris for subscriptions to its FedRAMP compliant integrated library system, Alma, including the discovery tool Primo. USU is the Nation's federal health sciences university committed to excellence in military medicine and public health, located in Bethesda, Maryland.
The Notice aims to justify awarding a sole-source contract to Ex Libris due to Alma being the only known integrated library system that has achieved FedRAMP compliance as required for all federal acquisitions of cloud services. It instructs that responses must demonstrate how competition would be advantageous, cost-effective and that the contractor can provide a compliant ILS with discovery tool. Eligible contractors have until March 20th to submit capability statements for consideration of conducting a competitive procurement instead of sole-source award. The subscription will support USU's mission to provide the highest quality education programs in the health sciences to uniformed services.
