About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is soliciting quotations for 15 units of a 24-inch tubeaxial fan with marine aluminum housing, powered by a 5.0 horsepower electric motor operating at 1740 RPM on 440/3/60 volts, identified by National Stock Number 4140-01-598-1549 and manufactured by Delta T Systems (part number 224183-45). The procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside. Critical contract requirements mandate rigorous packaging and packing standards due to previous damage in transit; each fan must be individually packaged in a wooden crate or extra-heavy cardboard box with protective material to prevent movement, and marked according to MIL-STD-129R with bar coding per ISO/IEC-16388-2007 Code 39 symbology. Non-compliance with these packaging, packing, marking, and bar-coding requirements will result in rejection and return of items to the vendor, delaying payment. The solicitation is posted as a combined synopsis and solicitation for a commercial item. The deadline for submission of quotations is January 14, 2026, with the solicitation posted on January 8, 2026.

This is a total small business set-aside opportunity with no incumbent contractor identified in the solicitation notice. Delivery is required on an F.O.B. Destination basis to the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center located at 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21126, specifically to the Receiving Room in Building 88. The procurement covers 15 units of tubeaxial fan equipment, with material packaging requirements conforming to MIL-STD-2073 and marking standards per MIL-STD-129R. The solicitation provides reference to FAR clauses 52.212-3 and 52.212-5 effective October 1, 2025, which address representations and certifications for commercial items and commercial item evaluation procedures. The specific award value or budget range is not disclosed in the solicitation notice. Vendors unable to meet the Coast Guard's strict packaging specifications are explicitly cautioned that their quotations will not be accepted, as standard commercial packaging is deemed unacceptable.
