This requirement is to purchase forty-five (45) DPT-2B Radar Transmitting Sets (RTS) (P/N: 6000D01038) which are commercially available. This requirement is for the Airborne Threat Simulation Organization (ATSO), whose primary function is to provide threat detection/countermeasures systems for use in the Test and Evaluation of Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs) and Fleet training programs.. Awarded Vendors: Rodale Electronics Inc.. Contract Award Dollar Amount: $668,971.35. Contract Award Date: 2016-08-29.

Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWC-WD), China Lake, California's Airborne Threat Simulation Organization (ATSO) requires forty-five (45) DPT-2B Radar Transmitting Sets (RTS) (P/N: 6000D01038). The DPT-2B RTS is the primary source used to simulate Radio Frequency (RF) signatures for radar and missile seekers. The 6000D01038 is a critical part of the DPT-2B RTS providing the power supply and modulator to drive an external magnetron which ultimately produces the threat realistic RF waveform.
This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with Rodale Wireless, Inc., 20 Oser Ave, Hauppauge, NY, 11788-3815. Delivery Schedule is 360 day ARO.

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following item: 1) DPT-2B Radar Transmitting Set, P/N 6000D01038 QTY 45. This requirement is manufacture sole sourced Rodale Electronics, Inc, 20 Oser Avenue Hauppauge, NY 11788 and it's distributors as the only vendors able to provide this product. Any distributors believing that they can provide the product may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product without causing programmatic hardship. Specifications to be met are as follows:
i. Frequency Range: 3.025 - 14.9 GHz, depending on selected magnetron.
ii. Minimum Power Output: 20 KW.
iii. Pulse Width: 0.2 - 1.2 microseconds, selectable
iv. Pulse Repetition Frequency Range: 100 - 6,000 Hz
v. Duty Cycle: Up to 0.0012
vi. Tuning: Local / Remote
vii. Thermal Design: Air Cooled
viii. Weight: 12.5 pounds
ix. Envelope Drawing: (see attached)
x. Operating Altitude: 100,000 ft
