Missile Defense Agency - July 2, 2015 Contract Announcement
Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR), Rancho Cordova, California, is being awarded a $12,290,494 competitive, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. Under this new contract, the contractor will develop and prove an innovative digital factory environment that will improve the design, manufacturing, and supply chain efficiency resulting in increased affordability for complex propulsion subsystems. The work will be performed in Rancho Cordova, California with an estimated completion date of October 1, 2017. This contract was competitively procured via publication on the Federal Business Opportunities website under the MDA's Broad Agency Announcement for Advanced Technology Innovation (ATI); HQ0147-13-ATI-BAA. Fiscal year 2015 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation funds in the amount of $12,290,494 are being obligated on this award. In accordance with FAR 35.006 (c), the use of a cost reimbursement contract for this research and development effort is appropriate. This is not a Foreign Military Sales acquisition.
