About this opportunity

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, California intends to procure a CONTEX MVP System and Accessories as a sole source requirement to Compunetix, located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. These systems and accessories serve as direct replacement parts that integrate into an existing system currently in operation. The procurement is being conducted on an other than full and open competitive basis, though the agency will consider responses from firms that believe they can fulfill the requirement. Interested parties must submit capability statements demonstrating their experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the work without compromising quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. All responses must reference solicitation number N6893625Q5128 and be submitted to the designated contracting officer by August 13, 2025, which is five days after the notice publication date. Firms must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be eligible for award consideration.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a full and open competition despite the sole source intent to Compunetix. The requirement consists of one lot of the CONTEX MVP System and related accessories, though specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The notice emphasizes that this is not a request for competitive proposals but rather an intent to procure, with the primary timeline being the five-day response window for interested parties to submit capability statements. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334220 for Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 5340 for Commercial Hardware. Given the nature of the requirement as replacement parts for existing systems, the timeline appears focused on maintaining operational continuity rather than extended service periods.
