About this opportunity

This Determination and Findings document outlines the Department of the Air Force's intent to consolidate multiple contract requirements to support the Air Force Systems Networking (AFSN) Network Engineering and Integration Services (NEIS) acquisition. Specifically, the Air Force plans to consolidate requirements currently performed under contracts for AFSN Support, Performance Team/User Experience Testing and USAFE Command and Control/Network Support, Capabilities Integration Environment Support, and incorporate new requirements into a single follow-on contract.

The benefits of consolidation include projected cost savings of $5.369 million compared to maintaining separate contracts, reduced acquisition timelines, increased efficiencies from a single contractor's flexibility in staffing resources, and provision of seamless network solutions. The follow-on AFSN NEIS contract is planned as an 8(a) small business set-aside direct award for network engineering support, with a one-year base period and four option periods totaling an estimated value of $XX million.

Notice of intent to consolidate was published in accordance with FAR 7.107-5(c) for informational purposes. Award is anticipated to occur on April 1, 2023. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center is named as the contracting agency. The consolidation is determined to achieve measurable acquisition benefits and is therefore justified under the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
