About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is conducting a market research request for a grip assembly with National Stock Number 1680-01-263-0648, specifically for part numbers A218-967614-01 and 16C1090-1. The agency is seeking to determine if alternative sources can satisfy their requirements for 31 units of this aircraft component. The procurement is being handled through solicitation number SPRHA4-25-R-0117, with interested parties required to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations by December 20, 2024. The government's primary objectives include improving small business access to acquisition information and enhancing competition by identifying potential contracting opportunities. Potential vendors are encouraged to contact Johnny Wakefield at johnny.wakefield.2@us.af.mil for additional information about the requirement.

The procurement is set aside exclusively for small businesses and will be governed under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), which suggests the supplies are available from limited sources. The contract duration and delivery schedule are currently to be determined, though an estimated delivery timeline of 14 months after receipt of order (ARO) has been indicated. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with a classification code of 1680. This opportunity is potentially subject to Free Trade Agreements, and while the government is not planning to use commercial item acquisition policies, interested parties can still propose commercial alternatives within 15 days of the notice. The solicitation will remain in the archive until December 20, 2025, providing an extended window for potential vendors to prepare and respond.
