About this opportunity
This procurement is for flood wall improvement construction services along Codorus Creek in York, Pennsylvania. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District is seeking to replace approximately 600 linear feet of deteriorating flood wall extending from the Penn Street Bridge to Tyler's Run tributary. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical qualifications and price to select a contractor capable of demolishing the existing wall, partially demolishing an onsite building, constructing a new flood wall, and removing stream sediments. Questions are due by September 15th and proposals are due December 2nd, 2020.
This is a 100% set-aside for total small business concerns. The projected award value ranges from $5-10 million. The existing wall was constructed between the 1930s-1940s and needs replacement to maintain effective flood protection for the one percent annual chance flood event. Key work includes demolishing 600 feet of existing wall, construction of a new wall on the same alignment, and incidental related tasks.
