THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.


 This Sources Sought Announcement is issued solely for informational and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. All information received in response to this announcement that is marked "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly. Responses will not be returned.


The government has a requirement to purchase a National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) compliant UL Classified Trailer Mounted Breathing Air Compressor System providing a minimum of 27.0 cfm (at sea level), 6000 psig, 20-hp, 3-phase electric motor drive in the (25-kW) GenSet configuration, complete with two certified Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) containment fill stations and standard accessories plus two (2) American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) air storage cylinders (cascade piped), SCBA spacer kit, two-bank cascade controls, surge brakes and auxiliary electric outlet package.  Must be DOT certified with electric brakes.  System requires the newest technology for aluminum frame and body construction and an AirLock air assist fill station door that allows filling SCBA bottles without all cabinet doors open.  Shall be standard electric driven compressor powered by an onboard generator.  A simplified shore power design is required to keep system charging system ready with built in auxiliary power.  Command light, 100 ft. 6000 psig hose reel, electrical outlet package, Cold Weather package and EnerGen packages shall be included. The Contractor is required to purchase and install this unit at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colorado.  


The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 333912, Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing. 


 It has yet to be determined if this requirement will be solicited as a full and open competition or as a small business set-aside. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size); business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Women Owned Small Business or small business), cage code and DUNS. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision.


 This notice is to help in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted later at https://www.fbo.gov or GSA e-buy and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this sources sought request for information. A response to this sources sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
