About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring 9 units of circuit breakers under NSN 1H-5925-014831598-X5, TDP VER 007, for delivery to DLA Distribution facilities in New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government intends to conduct sole source negotiations under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as they do not own the technical data rights necessary to procure from multiple sources and have determined it uneconomical to acquire such rights or reverse engineer the part. The government will consider all proposals, quotations, or capability statements received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement instead. Interested parties may obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) and ASSIST-Online portal. Commercial item providers have 15 days from this notice to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement, though the government has determined FAR Part 12 commercial acquisition policies will not be used based on market research.
This procurement opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside with a response deadline of September 2, 2025, following the July 31, 2025 posting date. The contract involves a specific quantity of 9 circuit breaker units requiring delivery to two separate DLA distribution centers on the East and West coasts. No incumbent contractors are specifically identified in the notice, though the sole source nature suggests an existing relationship with a particular manufacturer or supplier. The notice does not specify contract values or budget ranges, focusing instead on the technical and procedural aspects of the procurement. The timeline allows interested parties approximately one month to respond with capability statements or proposals before the government makes its final determination on the procurement approach.
