About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure six units of a specific NSN (National Stock Number) 0O-5998-LLH7E3736, which appears to be an electrical or electronic assembly or component. The procurement will involve delivery to two DLA Distribution locations: New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 and will consider proposals received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Interested parties must demonstrate capability to meet qualification requirements at the time of award. The solicitation indicates that the government does not own the technical data rights for this part and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase such rights or reverse engineer the component.

This is a total small business set-aside contract with potential for an option quantity increase at the same unit price. The procurement is associated with Product Service Code 5998 for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Boards, Cards, and Associated Hardware. The contract may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and is governed by specific Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses related to trade agreements. While specific award value is not disclosed, the quantity of six units suggests a potentially limited scope contract. Interested vendors must obtain necessary military specifications and standards, with documents available through the DoD Single Stock Point's Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, PA. Vendors can access most documents through ASSIST-Online or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk if internet access is unavailable.
