The Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The principal components of work includes;



Remove the two existing 4SWT wood switch structures at structure number 107 and 109 complete with switches and tension insulators, removing wood h-frame structure at structure number 108 complete with suspension insulators, furnishing and installing new glued laminated wood pole switch structures at structure numbers 107 and 109, furnishing and installing a new wood h-frame structure at structure number 108, furnishing and installing new switches 5961-5960 and 5965-5970, including jumpers, furnishing and installing new suspension and tension insulator assemblies, furnishing and installing new suspension and tension overhead ground wire assemblies, reattaching 397.5 kcmil, 26/7, Ibis conductor, 3/8 HS overhead ground wire and taps on the existing Alliance-Chadron 115-kV transmission line, and adding structure number signs. All work shall be completed 270 calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated order of magnitude is between $250,000.00 - 500,000.00. FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding is being utilized for this requirement. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237130; Size Standard is $36.5M. The solicitation including specifications and drawings will be issued electronically at this site on or about 19 June 2017 at the following sites: https://www.fbo.gov and https://www.fedconnect.net.



NOTE: the Buy American Act applies to the solicitation. Refer to FAR Clause 52.225-9 (Section I) and FAR Provision 52.225-10 (Section L) if any non-domestic material will be proposed. Bidders must identify any non-domestic materials (not manufactured in United States) included in their bid. Please check with your suppliers and subcontractors to verify whether or not their quotes include non-domestic material.

All work shall be completed 210 calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated order of magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. FAR Part 14 is being utilized for this requirement. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237130; Size Standard is $36.5M.
