About this opportunity

The U.S. Geological Survey, Idaho Water Science Center seeks to replace the engine in a 20-foot Miller Marine inboard jet boat. Quotations are solicited to replace the existing 351 cubic inch Redline Ford HO engine with a new 5.3 liter MarinePower or Kodiak Marine diesel inboard engine, and modify the motor mounts, exhaust system, impeller, and drive line adapters as needed. Proposals will be evaluated using lowest price technically acceptable procedures, and must be submitted electronically by November 9, 2023 at 1700 Eastern Time.

Synopsis/Solicitation Combination


INTRODUCTION

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-05, effective 22 September 2023. This acquisition is total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 336612, "Boat Building", with an associated size standard of 1,000 employees.

SPECIFICATION

The U.S. Geological Survey, Idaho Water Science Center requires to replace the existing Redline Ford 351 HO engine with a MarinePower 5.3L DI OR Kodiak Marine 5.3L DI engine and make the necessary upgrades to the drive line, impeller, and exhaust to match the engine manufactures specifications. Please see solicitation document(s) for a detailed description and solicitation provisions/clauses.

Quotations/Proposals shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at nlushenko@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 09 November 2023 at 1700 Eastern Time.
