This project is for the Rehabilitation of the Blackberry Equestrian Trail located within Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Included in this Project will be the construction of three(3) horse tie stations, two(2) picnic tables and six(6) 10 foot boardwalk structures. Work will consist of mainly vegetation and soil grading, bank cutting, tree and stump removal, snag root removal, rock / boulder excavation and removal, rock retaining wall construction, gravel placement, erosion control, and construction of wet area crossings. The performance period will be 120 days, beginning after August 22, 2016, with completion before December 31st, 2016.



This project is set-aside 100% for small business. NAICS Codes: 237990, Size Standard: $36.5 million, PSC: Z2PZ. The anticipated magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A Bid Guarantee and Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates for Pennington County, South Dakota shall apply. The National Park Service, Midwest Region (MWR), NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), intends to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposal (RFP) that will result in a firm-fixed price construction contract. The solicitation will be posted on FedConnect, www.fedconnect.net; search Public Opportunities and enter the solicitation number under reference number in the search criteria dropdown menu.
